Today was Tolii’s last day of Year R (reception).

Long gone are the days of “back-pack camping”, when you go camping with whatever you could carry on your back – away from civilisation, miles from the nearest road, deep in the Siberian forests or the North-West Territories. We headed to Odiham, near to Fleet, Hampshire to explore the Basingstoke Canal. Ironically, the canal doesn’t quite reach Basingstoke! Google Earth GPS locations: First, we headed up along the old tow-path from the car park next to the canal in Odinham. It winds its way to North Warnborough. It has been a four years (to the day plus 1) since we were there last with Tolii (see below for video of that trip). Last night, Tolii’s best friend Alfie came to visit and stay the night. All the boys had a jolly good time playing outside in the nice spring air (15C) before heading off to bed around 8pm. |
