Tolii graduated from the Oak Tree nursery this evening. Friends can see all the graduation photos in our gallery (remember to log in there).
Its off to Whitchurch Primary school for him come mid-September. In the meantime, he can now coast through the rest of his summer at the nursery….

Tolii Achieves Duckling Grade 4 Swimming Badge
April 5th, 2008 · No Comments
Today was Tolii’s last swim lesson for this term. He earned his “Duckling Award Grade 4” certificate from the Judy Sporle swim school!
More importantly for Tolii, he got a badge!
The “exam” was last week; so today was a bit of a practice session and a chance to have a bit of fun. Vicki took Tolii [...]

A Visit To The Dentist
April 2nd, 2008 · No Comments
Tolii was complaining about the back right side of his mouth earlier in the week; so we made an appointment with the Whitchurch dentist that just took over the business in The Square (from an Australian dentist with stereotypical Australian manners; Daddy now sees a dentist in Fleet!).
Tolii went to a dentist last year, one [...]

Child Architects
March 31st, 2008 · 2 Comments
Both Tolii and Tosha have recently taken to architecture or at least, civil engineering. Over the past few days, we’ve seen bridges, churches and towers constructed (and destructed).
Tolii has gone as far as creating castles with intricate designs for doors, windows and towers!
Tosha meanwhile has tried to create a tower comparable to Taipei’s 101!
Start [...]

Tolii Builds Bridges
March 19th, 2008 · No Comments
Tolii showed off his civil engineering and architectural skills this morning: have a look at the symmetry he used in his two bridges. The tower is a very nice touch.
Later, he created a boat out of similar blocks to sail past them.
How all of it managed to survive Hurricane Tosha we’ll never figure out.
Start [...]

A Walk “Within” Whitchurch
February 9th, 2008 · No Comments
This weekend we stayed well within the known Whitchurch area (unlike last weekend). Tosha’s friend Tristan brought along his sister Autumn and his mum and dad (Carole and Richard) for a walk along the Test River path and into the Millennium Meadow.
It was a gorgeous spring day in the middle of winter: sunny and [...]

Blast (off)! There go the evenings!
February 7th, 2008 · No Comments
Mummy and daddy just had their quiet evenings together shortened that little bit starting last night. Tolii complained that he couldn’t sleep when he went to bed after bath with Tosha at 7:15ish.
So, we told him he could come downstairs and spend some time with us. We eventually got him back to bed [...]

Countdown - what time is it?
December 31st, 2007 · No Comments
Daddy is very concerned that he might sleep through the new year — he was up late last night fixing his computer that had a hard drive crash on it. The worst of it was that he was being all fancy and trying to install a RAID (backup mirroring) system on his new hard [...]

Potty Training - Part Two
October 17th, 2007 · 1 Comment
Tosha has taken a keen interest in all things wee. He loves to sit on the real toilet and really try to force something, anything!, out. Tolii is helpful - he points out anything, anything!, that he sees come out.
If he must, Tosha will use the potty. But he makes it clear [...]

Count Tosha
September 11th, 2007 · No Comments
Earlier this week, Tosha surprised us all by counting all the way up to 12 while playing the bath. He then proceeded to recite the alphabet in its entirely (although “L, M, N, O, P” sounded more like “elmooo”). Not to be outdone, Tolii counted backwards from 10, with an added “Blast Off!” for good [...]

Tosha’s Second 2nd Birthday Party
September 2nd, 2007 · No Comments
I hope this trend doesn’t continue…an extra party for every year old! But, we have to admit, today was a fantastic party for Tosha’s birthday!
Many of his friends gathered in the Millennium Meadow to play, party, run and eat; then run some more. The theme was “underwater” - and Autumn came dressed as [...]

Happy Second Birthday, Tosha!
August 27th, 2007 · No Comments
Two years ago Daddy was deeply involved in the frantic learning of how to put together a birthing pool for a very pregnant mummy who was doing aerobics at 2am. The midwives at Basingstoke hospital couldn’t believe the world had such strange people as us in it.
Today, a day early, but on a sunny bank [...]

Underwater Space
August 19th, 2007 · No Comments
The kids (with a little bit of help from mummy, daddy and grandpa) redecorated their room this weekend.
It now has a underwater theme up to a space theme (you have to see it to believe it).
Tosha has some portholes to look out of from his bed; and, Tolii can look out of his space ship’s [...]
