This town of ours keeps on wow-ing us. Today was the first carnival and procession in the town since 1996 – and you could tell the event has been sorrily missed. The king, queen, prince and princesses were all in attendance, too! The creativity and fun shown was second to none. Heck, it was [...] Not even a hail storm could prevent our annual Easter Egg hunt from going ahead. The eggs weren’t really egg-shaped: they were in the shape of bugs, chickens, bunnies and very big bunnies (all from Lidl). We descended upon the Whitchurch Millennium Meadow for the event. There’s even more photos in our gallery. There [...] What a fantastic weekend we all had. We headed down to a cottage in Dorset for a mini-holiday courtesy of granny. It was one of her Christmas presents to the boys — and oh boy! did they (and us) every enjoy it. So much so that Tolii was in tears leaving the place at [...] This weekend we stayed well within the known Whitchurch area (unlike last weekend). Tosha’s friend Tristan brought along his sister Autumn and his mum and dad (Carole and Richard) for a walk along the Test River path and into the Millennium Meadow. It was a gorgeous spring day in the middle of winter: sunny [...] Andrew left a message on Kudrat & Jackie’s answerphone: “We’re heading out for a walk around Whitchurch and wondered if you and your kids would like to join us. We’re going to go see the Sandwich Cows in the meadow, the Mill, the Test River, and finish up near the primary school. Call us [...] |
