About The Place…
The Moors Valley Country Park is a forest park with custom-built climbing frames in the shapes of forest creatures scattered throughout it. There’s even a raised walkway that takes you through the forest canopy, overlooking a swamp below! Business types and James Bond wannabes can do “team building” at the “Go Ape” tree-climbing complex.
But that is not all, oh, no, that is not all: It is a park, too, with a large fortress with slides and swings and, oh yes, a model steam railway.
There’s a parking fee and a small charge for the steam train, otherwise its free! Of course, you can spend your hard-earned money in the cafeteria and gift shop if you wish!
Trust us: do the forest walk first. You need to tire your kids out before letting them loose in the play-park – or else you will never get them to leave!
There’s a good cafeteria and gift shop on site, too. Parking is reasonably priced.
