An excellent spring day with just that right temperature for a family hike up Winchester’s St.Catherine’s Hill and to its MizMaze.
There are fantastic views of the city, including Winchester Cathedral. Back down the hill again, and we strode off along the river Itchen path to find a nice spot for some lunch before continuing our hike around this part of “town” (really, countryside).
The view from the disused railway viaduct was spectacular; even though daddy did get a thorn stuck in his arm in the process of navigating through the overgrown brush!
The last part of the trek wasn’t too pushchair friendly…but we persevered. Glad we did: there was a field near St.Cross hospital that had some cows, bulls and a horse in it. Tosha was over the moon!
